Biotechnology a Hot Career Choice for the 21st Century
The practical biotechnology deals with the industrial scale production of various chemicals (i.e. insectisides, pesticides), foods (i.e. single cell proteins or SCP, various milk products), Beverages (i.e. wine, beer), antibiotics, enzymes, vitamins, hormones and make these products available at a large scale. Various pharmaceutical companies hire biotechnicians.
Practical Biotechnology includes the study of various subjects for example bioreactor design and analysis, enzymes technology, bio-process engineering, industrial waste management, bio-medical instrumentaion like pacemaker, dialysis kit and research on other useful products which could be helpful for the patients.
It also deals with research on the animals and plants to improve the product yield and develope new species.
