Medical Entrance Exams in Delhi
If you are preparing hard to get admission in a reputed medical college of Delhi, you have to fare well in the Medical entrance exams conducted all over the capital. The two common Medical Entrance Exams in Delhi are - All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) and Delhi University Medical-Dental Entrance Test (DUMET). A brief note about the two are given under -

All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS)
Eligibility Criteria

You must have passed 10+2 exam or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English is required.
You should be at least 17 years as on 31st December, 2008.



Application procedure

Applications form can be collected on cash payment of Rs.500 (Rs.400 for SC/ST candidates) from any of the main branches of State Bank of India between 9th January and 22nd February.


Entrance Test


Delhi University Medical-Dental Entrance Test (DUMET)


Eligibility Criteria



You need to pass class 12 examinations with main subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Your pass certificate should be from a recognized school.
It is necessary to obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.


Application Procedure



The application form and the brochure are available from the office of the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V. P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007.


You need to draw a Bank Draft for Rs.550 on any Nationalized Bank in favor of ‘Registrar, University of Delhi’ payable at Delhi.


To obtain the form by post, a DD of Rs.600 is to be furnished along with a self addressed envelope of 10" x 8".


You get the application form and the BOI by hand from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and University College of Medical Sciences.


You have to mention your name and address at the back of the Bank Draft


Incomplete applications are considered rejected.


Entrance Test



The admission test generally takes places in the 3rd week of May every year.
